Facelift!

My website and blog are in the middle of a facelift. Can't wait to see the end results! I have been busy, busy taking pics this Summer. I've had so much fun! Thanks to everyone who have been a part of launching Cliques {photography} by Kelli, I am so appreciative. Your business and friendships mean a lot to me. Upside Down Life

So...my life got turned upside down when our daughter was born prematurely last October. I've taken an extended maternity leave, but I am finally (almost) ready to venture out again! I'm super excited to pick up the camera again. I've taken a few classes and have been doing a lot of research and self teaching to better my skills. I'm excited to put them to use! I'm still an amateur and a work in progress, but I have figured out that I LOVE - LOVE - LOVE photography and visual arts. I can't wait to learn more and to improve on what I've already learned. I am in the process of putting together a small home studio -- some fun backgrounds and new props on their way! In the meantime, I'm excited to take advantage of the beautiful outdoors (when Mother Nature cooperates)! I've got a few exciting projects already in the works, and I will only be working P/T over the Summer, so contact me soon if you are interested in doing a session. I am doing them for next to nothing {SERIOUSLY}, so I can get back in the game. Don't miss out!

What a GREAT place for a shoot. I loved the location this family chose. I could have spent way more time there, but kids will only cooperate for so long. :) Thanks again!

What cute, CUTE kiddos! I had so much fun shooting with these little ones, especially once they all warmed up to the camera.

Learning to get creative...

Some more shots from the previous post! They primarily just wanted a group photo of all the cousins, so we didn't do much shooting with individuals. Plus, the kiddos were all anxious to play and eat, so I'm glad I took a few shots between the chaos. =oP Thanks to post-editing, I was still able to capture a few nice headshots.

Growing Family...

What a cute family! When one of the Mom's told me she wasn't expecting to get a picture without someone crying and/or someone's finger up their nose, I was a little worried! I'll admit, it was challenging to get 10 young ones into the poses I had in mind originally, but we still got some fun shots!

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice...

When I saw this pic, I HAD to add a butterfly. She was so in "awe" of something she had found in the water, but it was so small, that you couldn't see it in the pic. In fact, I never did figure out what she was showing me. :) Oh the world of digital photography!
